Memorial Day one day late
Memorial Day one day late
If you know me at all, youll remember me talking of a memorial garden that displays any and all servicemens flags for the Memorial Day Weekend. And I told you that when BOTH of the boys were in Scouts, we would begin participating in the removal of the flags on Memorial Day. Yesterday, there were 2,379 flags flown in memory of fallen servicemen. Some dating back to WWI, others as recent as Desert Storm.
This is last years picture. They knew I was taking it.
And this is this years picture. They had no clue that I took this one until I had them printed at Wal-mart after the ceremonies.
Here they are actually folding a flag. The flags being flown for the first time are folded military style, while all others are folded laundry style. Volunteers at the garden launder, repair and store the flags for next year.Available link for download

Politikada Rejim Tipleri ve Kavramlar) adl? makalesi[2], günümüzde dünyada birçok farkl? ülkede görülen ve Türkiye için de kullan?lmaya ba?lanan otoriter rejim ve demokratik rejim aras?nda kalan melez rejimleri tasnif etmek için yararlan?labilecek olan önemli bir makaledir. Demokratikle?me aç?s?ndan anayasal boyut ba?lam?nda inceleme yap?l?rken ise ?u 4 kritere bak?lmal?d?r: örgütlenme özgürlü?ü (freedom of organization), ifade özgürlü?ü (freedom of expression), alternatif bilgiye eri?im hakk? (right to alternative information) ve ayr?mc?l?k yap?lmamas? (freedom from discrimination). Bu 8 temel kriteri yerine getiren ülkeler, Wigell’e göre “demokrasi” olarak kabul edilmelidirler. Ancak “liberal demokrasi” konumuna ula?abilmek için, ?u ek kriterler de yerine getirilmelidir;
- Seçim boyutu aç?s?ndan: sivil üstünlü?ü (electoral empowerment), e?it oy hakk?na dayal? seçimler (electoral integrity), seçim egemenli?i (electoral sovereignity), seçim üstünlü?ü (electoral irreversibility). Recep Tayyip Erdo?an, asl?na bak?l?rsa 2002’den beri sürekli genel, yerel ve Cumhurba?kanl??? seçimlerine giren ve bunlar? kazanan, dahas?, anayasal referandum süreçlerinden de iki defa zaferle ç?kmay? ba?aran bir yap?dad?r. Bu nedenle, günümüzde Türkiye’deki iktidar?n seçim boyutuyla bir demokrasi eksikli?inden söz etmek mümkün de?ildir. Lakin 2015 y?l?nda iki seçim aras? dönemde ya?anan ilginç terör hadiseleri ve sonras?nda ortaya ç?kan seçim tablosu, “siyasal mühendislik” ele?tirilerini gündeme getirmekte ve seçim tarafs?zl???n? gölgelemektedir. Günümüzde de, ayn? argüman, Ba?kanl?k referandumu öncesinde kullan?lmaya çal???lmakta ve ne idü?ü belirsiz canl? bomba sald?r?lar?na dayal? olarak Ba?kanl?k sistemi propagandas? yap?lmaktad?r. Plot: Arthur Bishop, the master assassin who faked his death in hopes of putting that part of his ;life behind him, now lives a quiet life in Rio. One of the most difficult things about ADD and ADHD is that these disorders are often accompanied by other disorders (called comorbids). One of these disorders is Tourettes Syndrome. Tourettes is actually has a spectrum in and of itself, and can include behaviors such as twitches, tics, vocal "spurts", erratic movements, and in some cases, impulsive foul language. What makes Tourettes so interesting is that it tends to bridge the gap between disorders that are often found on opposite sides of the spectrum with regards to brain chemistry.
Over half of Tourettes individuals are also co-diagnosed with either ADD/ADHD or OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). For individuals seeking treatment, the number of individuals with Tourettes that also have ADD or ADHD may be as high as 80%, according to some studies. ADHD is typically associated with low levels of the brain chemical dopamine in the front part of the brain, and high levels of serotonin. The latter, OCD, is typically affiliated with low serotonin and higher dopamine levels. Tourettes fits somewhere in between these two, from both a chemical and symptom-based standpoint.
Although there are a number of treatment options out there for ADHD, finding one that is effective in also treating the comorbid symptoms and disorders is also crucial. One of the reasons is that stimulants (such as Ritalin, Dexedrine, Adderall, or Concerta) often make several of the Tourettes symptoms, such as motor or vocal tics, worse. However, non-stimulant ADHD medications show some potential for treating these comorbid disorders. A likely reason is a different underlying chemical mechanism than that of stimulants. Several studies have indicated that the non-stimulant ADHD medication Strattera (Atomoxetine) has also been an effective treatment for Tourettes.
Although other drugs, such as Clonidine, have been tried and displayed positive results for a number of studies. However, Clonidine has also shown side effects such as sedation (drowsiness) in several different cases. While stimulants still serve as the primary mode of treatment for ADHD, we must be careful when the disorder is accompanied by other comorbid disorders, such as Tourettes. If this is the case, then non-stimulant medications such as Atomoxetine must be considered as viable alternatives in the ADHD medication world.
